Going off to college can be hectic, if you think you know what to bring, think again. Most Americans whether parents send their kids off to school, or kids packing themselves most people forget the little things until they need them, and then it's too late. Bed Bath and Beyond and other websites like dormify, and bigfuture.collegeboard offers checklists to meet your dorm room needs and ranks the items from lowest to highest. The Bed Bath and Beyond checklist has multiple categories for every need, this list works for all genders as this is just general needs. This list ranges from bedding, and storage to kitchen needs all the way to personal electronic needs. This is one of the best lists to go off of.
Other lists are very similar in sharing the different categories of needs but Bed Bath and Beyond shares what is the most important and how many of something you might need. FUN FACT dorm rooms very drastically so don't buy everything right away. In some cases for some of the products suggested to buy you will need to get the dimensions of the room and see what will work for you first and then buy.
Sticking to the check lists are important to you packing list. You should remember to prioritize the items on the list before you get your personal needs. Also another great idea is printing out you list and checking it off when you get you items. This will help you maintain your goal in completing the list.
