Moving into your college dorm is a very exciting and stressful time. You’re excited to move out, be on your own, and have your independence. However, we have to leave our old bedrooms, houses, family, and friends behind. We do not realize how much space we have for all of our stuff at home. Moving into your college dorm meanings losing all the extra space to store our belongings so we have to be smart about what to bring and how to make the most of our new small space. Luckily, there is plenty of room under those very uncomfortable beds to store some of our stuff. Here are some tips on how to optimize our space under the bed.
These storage draws will be your new best friend. They are inexpensive and you can find them at almost any store, (Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, etc.) They don’t need to be clear of course. They come in a variety of colors and designs that you can choose from to match your room theme or colors of choice. These draws provide a clean and neat look even if everything inside of them is a mess. And let’s face it, they will probably end up messy at some point but no one can tell.
Another way to organize all your stuff is by using these collapsible bins. They also come in many colors and designs making it an easy way to add some personality to your room. You can simply just use the bins or get a shelf like the one above to make it look even neater. There is so much room under your bed you can get these items and those draws above. It is all based on your personal preference. The best part is there are so many different variations and colors to choose from you can have fun with it.
Happy Dorming and Storing!
